Lent in a Bag

As restrictions place some limits on our gathering, we once again will journey through Lent together using “Lent in a Bag.”  Sometimes this pandemic has taken us to a dark place but as Christians we know we are not alone, that God is with us.  The theme this year is Grace in the Darkness. 

The paper-based resources of the bag are available electronically by clicking on the “buttons” below. Some links from the previous years are also available. The 2022 physical bags which are distributed to local resident members also included: a starting nasturtiums “kit”; a fabric square to decorate with the theme Grace in the Darkness and return to Grace; and a small wooden cross keepsake

Just before Lent starts, we shall be gathering at Grace’s Virtual Shrove Tuesday Pancake Supper on Tuesday, March 1 at 5:30pm. If you want to find out how to make pancakes, especially the bear paw pancakes click here to see the video by Mark and Sir Winston.
