Music Ministry

Grace Choir/Musicians

Do you like to sing and/or play an instrument?

The Grace United Church Choir is an active, dedicated volunteer choir. This mixed voice choir ministers through music each Sunday with a wide variety of traditional and contemporary choral music. Members of the choir are encouraged to participate in the music ministry as soloists and in small groups. In addition to preparing for the weekly Sunday service, the choir prepares two choral services each year. One of those takes place in Advent and the other in the late spring.

The choir rehearses on Wednesday evenings from September through to early June. Rehearsals take place in the church from 7:00 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. We try to be punctual in starting and ending and we make use of each minute of the rehearsal. We always welcome new members and encourage people to consider joining us in the choir. This is not a senior choir - new members, young and old, are welcome! There are openings in the choir for all voices.

Children’s Choir started in late October 2023 and the children sang at the White Gift Service and at the Children’s Christmas Eve Service. Practice takes place for a short period (10-15 minutes) after church. Practices resumed February 2024 with until the choir’s participation in the Palm Sunday Service. If you have questions, please speak to Joel, our music director or e-mail him

These are just some of the many people who have shared their gift of music with us.
